Position is responsible for the oversight and management of the Security & Parking Supervisors, Security Officers, contracted event security, valet parking, uniform contract, and EMT services. Responsibilities will include scheduling, assigning tasks, training, inspections, supply restocking, employee development, customer meetings, event preparation, pre-shift briefings, and customer ancillary reconciliations, management and oversight of the MCC parking garage for internal and external operations. Position will also be responsible for providing technical, administrative, and operational assistance and guidance to security staff including scheduling, and coordinating the preopening safety walkthrough prior to each show and performing operational audits. Position would also assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for loss prevention, life safety, fire detection systems, and physical security for MCC attendees, clients, guests, and employees.
Associates Degree with three (3) years of experience as a security supervisor or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience is required. Successful candidate will have a working knowledge of a variety of communication support and security alarm systems. Special Event/Crowd Management/Parking Operations experience is a plus.
This is a position of the Convention Center Authority; not a Metropolitan Government position. Excellent benefits included. Valid Tennessee Driver’s License required. This is a 3rd shift manager position. Flexible work schedule with the ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays required.
