This position will have the responsibility for the planning, development, and implementation of all of the Music City Center’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities for both external and internal sources including the direct responsibility for the efforts of the Communications & Graphics Coordinator and the Sustainability Coordinator as well as coordinating the strategic and tactical levels with other functions of the Music City Center. Responsibility will also include acting as the Music City Center’s public relations liaison for the community and serving as the point of contact for the media. Additionally, this position will coordinate media interest for the Music City Center and ensure regular contact with target media and provide appropriate responses to media requests. Position will also have the responsibility for the Music City Center’s web site development and content maintenance as well as the maintenance of all social media communications including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. and development of the Annual Report and quarterly and weekly newsletters.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field with at three to five years ( 3-5) of experience in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the Hospitality industry or the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
This is a position of the Convention Center Authority; not a Metropolitan Government position. Excellent benefits included. Valid Tennessee Driver’s License required.
